How do I know how much product to buy? I have a couple of gallons of diesel that soaked into dirt and gravel. It got buried under 5 feet of snow in December. Now the snow is melting and there is too much water and mud to clean it up. Will Petrobuster neutralize the fuel? How much should I buy?
Furnace Oil Leaks or Spills? Let Petro Buster clean it!
Just a reminder that you can easily clean furnace oil from concrete, asphalt, soil, water and other surfaces if you have a leak this heating season.
We have had many happy customers use Petro Buster that had their scenarios such as their outside oil tank leak and the furnace oil found it's way to their weeping tile around the house and then in to their sump in the basement. Normally this is a really big problem and smells horrible in the house but for Petro Buster no problem!
Just dilute it with 4 parts water, pour it on the same spot, saturate the area with your garden hose until you see your sump area fill up with suds from Petro Buster.
The smell goes away immediately and it will flush out the fuel while breaking it down.
You can let it sit like that for the winter and sump it out in the in the spring.
If you had to report the spill, you can get an engineer to do some tests afterwards and submit them to the lab for testing. Usually they come back below the acceptable limit and that normally satisfies environmental authorities and insurance companies.
Cleaning fuel spills is easier than most people think if they have the right products. It's also good to be pro-active and keep the world you work in clean on a day to day basis.
Petro Buster the biodegradable "Spill Soap & Eco Degreaser" made with microbes that consume the hydrocarbons in petroleum has been used in the last year in cleaning the Royal Canadian Navy's bilges and keeping the bilge water safe for the ocean. What a great pro-active approach to the environment.
In shops it is used as an "Eco Degreaser" instead of solvents and toxic cleaners. For equipment it breaks down and biodegrades the petroleum being washed away before it pollutes the property from daily cleaning in the same place.
Petro Buster has had great success in being used to clean up petroleum spills at Suncor / Petro-Canada gas stations, Ultramar gas stations and even Valero Energy has used it at their refinery.
There have been numerous remediation companies using it successfully as well as members of the public dealing with spills on their own property throughout North America.
Petro Buster has been used successfully to cleaned Furnace Oil spills and leaks from a multitude of homes around North America.
An Ontario Court ruling involving an environmental lawsuit on January 26 2016 for the first time awarded the Plaintiff for damages of $1.3 Million dollars of which the judgement was ordered against not only the defending business involved but the owner of the business which was help liable for the damages personally.
The defendent was found guilty personally for being negligent and not responding to an environmental problem that his business has caused which resulted in damages and loss to for the Plaintiff.
In our oppinion this opens the doors as a precedent to fuel distributors and/or anyone responsible for running a business that has an enviromental issue they are responsible for and have not made an attempt to resolve the problem.

We joined the Canadian Oil Heat Association this year and I am a now a guest speaker at their Symposium in Halifax this June.
My topic is "A practical approach to dealing with fuel spills". A hot topic relating to fuel regulations, environmental regulations, insurance claims and knowing what you can actually do to react effectively when a spill does happen to mitigate the environmental and economical impact of the spill without getting yourself into more trouble.
We are also Silver sponsor this year and will have our booth there. ...
